The following Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Website and to the Landcover insurance product. You will be required to acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions before using this site and again when completing the Landcover Policy Application by clicking on the “consent” button. Additionally, other terms or conditions may apply in relation to products or services offered via the Website, and you will also be bound by these as they apply to you.

Description of Product or Service
The information or descriptions contained herein are not intended to be a complete description of all terms, exclusions and conditions applicable to the products and services, but are provided solely for information purposes. Full details of the insurance products are contained in the policy document.
This LANDCOVER Legal Liability Insurance Covers:
Your liability to pay for all amounts you shall become legally liable to pay as compensation in respect of Personal Injury &/or Property Damage happening during the period of Insurance and caused by or arising out of an occurrence in connection with your ownership of Vacant Land.
Importantly this insurance also covers your Defence Costs for such claims by others seeking damages even if groundless, false or fraudulent.
Subject always to the Insurer's Terms, Claims Conditions, General and Special Conditions, Exclusions, Endorsements, Excess, Words with Special Meaning and Limits of Liability incorporated in this policy.
Commencement of Landcover Insurance of Cover
Cover commences when we accept your application and by giving you a Transaction or Policy Number. Cover will not commence before the first day of the Period of Insurance whether or not money is paid before then.
Remember: - No Transaction or Policy Number means no cover.
Expiry and Continuity of Landcover insurance
Landcover Insurance is issued for 12 months commencing on acceptance of your “Landcover Policy Application” and will continue and expire 4.00pm on the last day of the Calendar month 12 months later.
This Insurance contract is non -renewable however an invitation to reapply will be sent early in the expiring month of your current policy. You can, for your convenience reapply at any time during that month and when accepted the insurance will commence at that time and date.Your previous policy is cancelled from the commencement of your new Policy. This means that you have continuing insurance cover but not 2 policies at the same time. Any applications after the expiry date will result in an uninsured period.
Your Duty of Disclosure
All insurance Contracts are based on the principle that all parties will act with Utmost Good Faith in all their dealings. This is recognised at law and reinforces the reason that “Your Duty of Disclosure “is required to be stated here and in the Policy Wording.
We at Landcover are obligated by the Insurance Industry’s Code of Practice to be honest, efficient, fair, transparent and timely in dealing with you, our customer.
We ensure that our staff and those representing us are appropriately trained and have sufficient product knowledge to conduct themselves professionally in all aspects of the services we provide.
You, when applying for Landcover Insurance are obligated to comply with what the Insurance Industry and the Insurance Contract Act 1984 refers to as “Your Duty Of Disclosure”.
When applying to purchase Landcover Insurance for your personal or domestic or household purpose you have a duty to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation to an insurer.
When applying to purchase Landcover insurance for any other purpose you need to tell us everything that you know or could be reasonably expected to know that is relevant to our acceptance of your Landcover Insurance Application. You do not need to tell us anything that will reduce the insurance risk, that is common knowledge or is already something that we should know.

We act on behalf of the insurer when arranging Landcover insurance.
We arrange policies for and on behalf of the insurer and act under a binding Underwriting Authority given to our Licensee by the insurer to administer and issue policies, alterations, cancellations. In all aspects of these policies, we act on behalf of the insurer and not for you. We remind you of this now and on your Policy Schedule and our Financial Services Guide (FSG).
Our Advice and Insurer’s Policy Document
Any advice provided on the LANDCOVER website is of a general nature. We have not given you any personal advice until we tell you that we have done so by considering your individual financial situation, objectives or needs.
Because Landcover insures industrial, commercial, rural and residential land, the Landcover Policy is classed as a Wholesale Insurance Product which requires the Insurer’s Policy Document to be provided to you to consider along with any other information made available to you before you proceed to purchase the policy online to ensure that it’s right for you.
